Spectrum Health Care is hiring Full Time Registered Nurses (RN) who specialize in palliative care in Toronto including Downtown, North Toronto and East York.

Job Description

Provide patient-focused, safe, holistic nursing care and work collaboratively with other members of our specialized palliative care team
Ensure that nursing care provided to our patients is based on current and best practices to achieve successful outcomes
Continually assess, anticipate, identify and respond to new and changing needs of our patients
Travel between patients' homes within a specific geographical region

Qualifications

If you have these experiences, skills and qualifications, you are likely a good match for our patients:

Minimum of two-year nursing experience (Community Nursing experience is ideal, but not required)
Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Must have experience working with palliative care patients
Fundamentals of palliative care, LEAP and/or CAPSE courses are an asset
Ability to work independently in managing your own caseload
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written required (if you can speak additional languages, terrific)
Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle with willingness to travel
Excellent patient assessment and teaching skills
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Physical ability to perform your day-to-day duties
Basic proficiency in Word, Excel and ability to learn software
