DZ Driver (Utility Rep)

Clean Harbors/Safety-Kleen in Oshawa, ON is seeking a Utility Representative (DZ Driver) to join our safety conscious team! The Utility Reps operate box and vacuum trucks on open routes throughout Ontario, helping ensure our customers continue to receive safe, reliable, and high-quality service. This position plays an important role in providing coverage for vacant routes and supporting our operations as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate DZ-licensed vehicles to deliver, collect, and transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials, including used oil and antifreeze.
• Service parts washer equipment by removing spent fluids and replenishing fresh cleaning solutions.
• Provide route coverage for vacations, absences, and open routes, ensuring consistent and reliable customer service.
• Load, unload, and handle materials safely in compliance with company policies, TDGA, Ontario Regulation 347, and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
• Complete required transportation, shipping, and waste documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Manage daily routes to meet scheduled delivery and collection commitments.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional service, communication, and timely issue resolution.
• Identify sales opportunities and communicate customer needs to the sales team.
• Work closely with dispatch, operations, and branch teams to ensure efficient route execution and customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid DZ driver's license with 1-2 years of driving experience preferred.
• Manual transmission experience is strongly preferred.
• Reliable personal vehicle for commuting to the identified home branch.
• Clean driving record and strong commitment to safe driving practices.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive customer relationships.
• Experience in environmental services, hazardous waste management, or a related industry is an asset.
• Physically capable of performing demanding duties in various work environments.
• Willingness to travel throughout Ontario and out of province as required.
