Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated Materials Planner to join their team for 6 month contract. As a Materials Planner, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting production and supply chain teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Materials Planner
Location: Brantford, ON
Pay Range: $40 - 45 based on experience
Shift: 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
What's the Job?
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with sales forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
- Analyze material requirements based on the MPS and collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Create and optimize production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime, coordinating with production managers.
- Monitor inventory levels, implement strategies to reduce excess stock, and prevent stockouts to meet production and customer demands.
- Evaluate production capacity, identify constraints, and develop plans to address capacity limitations, ensuring effective resource utilization.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in material requirements planning, production scheduling, or a related manufacturing role.
- Proficiency in MRP and ERP systems, along with production scheduling software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
