The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to all residents and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for both residents and staff. This role involves providing overall leadership to meet residents' goals, managing all human, financial, and physical resources, and actively participating in the lives of the residents, their families, and the local community. The Executive Director will also be involved in the budgeting process and must be able to manage the facility within the budget while overseeing accounting operations. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company's long-term care home should hold a post-secondary degree or diploma in health or social services, possess an Administrator's Certification, and have completed the Ontario Fire Safety: Training for Owners/Operators course. A minimum of 3 years' of working experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity, particularly in the health or social services sector, is required. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping those in the retirement community, excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and a customer-focused attitude. Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices, basic accounting principles, and relevant legislation is also essential.
