LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Advisor, Solutions Architecture for a two-year term with its Ottawa-based customer.

Key Tasks
- Develop strategic directions for in-house product, including the creation and enhancement of architectural viewpoints, models, roadmaps and designs that align to the enterprise architecture.
- Conduct comprehensive business transformation and architecture assessments, including complex system and infrastructure reviews in support of product evolution.
- Lead and oversee change initiatives related to on-premises/cloud adoption and hybrid environments. Guide the full end-to-end adoption process, ensuring alignment with organizational vision.
- Understand Business, Application, Information (Data), Security and Technology/Cloud domains to ensure effective integration of solutions across the broader IT and business landscape.
- Define, develop, evaluate and contribute to architecture policies, standards, frameworks, guidelines and best practices; ensure compliance with enterprise and industry standards.
- Provide strategy-focused architectural leadership, with occasional hands-on involvement in configurations, testing and proofs of concept (resources are available to support hands-on work).
- Provide expert architectural advice to working groups and internal stakeholders, including options analysis and presentation of solution recommendations.
- Create and facilitate presentations for governance, leadership, and working groups; contribute to decision-making processes.
Key Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience as a Solution Architect, with demonstrated expertise across multiple architecture domains and experience designing and delivering end-to-end solutions
- Strong experience with Microsoft ecosystem and Azure cloud technologies; familiarity with integrating new technologies.
- Experience advising clients, working with stakeholders and presenting architectural options and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics,
- Business Administration, or in a related field, AND some years of experience in
- technical architecture, application architecture, solution architecture or in a related field
Experience with:
- End-to-end solution design and architecture
- Systems and technical architecture
- Multi-technology environments (Microsoft, Azure, Oracle for retail, Workday for HR)
- Software integration and relational databases
- Software development practices
- Contract management and budget administration
- Leading multi-discipline teams
- Providing advice on strategic issues
- Project management and working within governance frameworks
- Using formal architecture frameworks and modelling tools
- Integrated solution design
- Mobile application development
- Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Reporting
- Microsoft Power Platform (familiarity)
- Cybersecurity controls (awareness)
Assets
- Certifications in TOGAF, IASA IT Architect, or Azure Cloud.
- Experience with formal architecture frameworks (organization is still early-stage and evolving these).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience integrating Workday, Oracle Retail, or other multi-technology environments.
- Exposure to government, retail, or financial services industries.
- Bilingualism (English/French).
- Experience working in environments with maturing governance structures.
