Job Description
We're seeking a General Foreperson to join our team at the Oakville Terminal in Ontario, with an immediate start available. This role provides an excellent opportunity to step into active work and make a meaningful impact from day one.
Shift Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, 8-hour days
• Possibility of weekend overtime based on client needs
• Orientation (8 hours) - paid
Pay Range: $81.51-$85.80
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate crews to ensure safe, efficient execution of daily tasks and resolve on-site issues.
- Plan and prepare work by assessing hazards, securing materials, permits, and equipment, and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Execute and oversee technical tasks including pipefitting, machinery installation, alignment, rigging, and system testing.
- Monitor and document progress, ensure quality and compliance with FLINT and client standards, and communicate updates.
- Support team productivity and safety by fostering a positive environment and ensuring adherence to all safety procedures.
This position does not include camp accommodations, living out allowance, or travel allowance. Therefore, it is best suited for local candidates; however, those willing to travel or relocate at their own expense are also encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in fuel terminals; must hold a Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification in Pipefitting or Millwright (Ontario) or an Interprovincial Red Seal.
- Valid driver's license, a clean 5-year abstract with under 6 demerits, and reliable transportation to site are required.
- Completion of safety and technical training including WHMIS, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, Confined Space Training, CSTS, and Forklift or Zoom Boom; PM03 Petroleum Mechanic Training and Certification is optional, and training will be provided.
- Proven experience working safely on live systems using Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and system isolation protocols.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in industrial environments such as heights, confined spaces, and varying weather; must meet all site access and pre-employment requirements including Suncor web-based training.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
Additional Information
This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
