General Labourer - Asbestos Removal

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday

Location: St. John's and surrounding areas

Rate of Pay: $18 hourly

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our restoration team. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role involves a variety of onsite and warehouse tasks including demolition, cleaning, emergency flood response, restorative drying, fire and smoke damage cleanup, content handling, and other specialized restoration activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform demolition, light repairs, general and specialized cleaning
• Follow measurements, plans, and instructions to complete work accurately
• Communicate site conditions and concerns proactively
• Assist with water/flood response and content handling
• Support vehicle inspections, equipment maintenance, debris removal, and site setup
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Provide excellent customer service
• Work within tight timelines while safeguarding client property
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in required training
• Occasionally act as site lead when designated

Qualifications:

• Experience in construction, restoration, or insurance preferred
• Forklift certification is an asset
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet vehicle policy requirements
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed
• Ability to travel periodically
• Criminal Record Check Required

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent lifting of 5-40 lbs; occasional assisted lifting over 40 lbs
• Ability to work in tight spaces and at heights over 5 feet
• Fit testing for half/full face masks (annual certification)
• Extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling
