Columbia craftsmen, many with over 20 years of experience in cabinetmaking, work out of a modern, high tech 100,000 sq. ft. plant ideally located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, just a few miles from the U.S. border. We are looking to hire 1 Manufacturing Engineer at our plant. Job Duties include Conduct studies to determine optimum inventory levels and utilization of machinery and resources Design manufacturing systems to optimize the use of computer networks, robots and materials Develop performance standards Evaluate or assess industrial facilities to ensure that all opportunities for improvement have been explored Find ways to eliminate wastefulness in production processes Implement programs on optimum inventory levels Plan plant layouts and facilities Supervise technicians, technologists, analysts, administrative staff and other engineers Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and procedures Analyze costs of production Design and conduct time studies and work simplification programs Conduct studies on the reliability and performance of plant facilities Assess industrial facilities Draw facilitys building, equipment and major components Establish programs and conduct studies to enhance industrial health and safety or to identify and correct fire and other hazards Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs Assess business opportunities and develop strategies Employment Requirements: Bachelors degree is required. The positions require an experience of 7 months to 1 year in related field. The candidate must have good English skills in both speaking and writing. An ideal candidate should be organized, with good judgement, able to multitask and must be a good team player. Work Setting: Processing Plant. Terms of Employment: The candidates are expected to be available for work for early morning, morning, daytime and evenings. This is a full time (30-40 hours per week) and permanent position with a salary of $44.00/Hour. The employer provides extended medical and dental benefits.
