Job responsibilities:
Booking loads and reloads through prospecting and new business development .
Planning and managing available equipment and drivers.
Identifying issues and concerns of drivers, and resolving them in a timely manner.
Evaluate changes in market conditions and negotiate best purchase price while assessing all angles of the situation
Actively track and trace the movement of customer freight and proactively communicate with the customers.
Proactively communicate delays, breakdowns, road closures, etc. to customers, shippers, receivers. Effectively adjust operating plans to accommodate such circumstances.
Communicate and coordinate pickup and delivery schedules with shippers, receivers and drivers.
Desired Skills and Experience :
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of Transportation/Trucking Experience required.
Sound analytical and critical thinking skills
Exceptional negotiation, decision making and organizational skills
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
The ability to thrive in a fast-pace, deadline-oriented environment
The ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter with excellent problem solving skills, who also can work as a team when needed.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
