WAREHOUSE WORKER / SHIPPER RECEIVER

We are a growing flooring retail company seeking a Warehouse Worker / Shipper Receiver . This is a diverse and hands-on role ideal for someone who takes initiative, works independently, and brings a sense of ownership to their position.

Salary: $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

Workdays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Days Off: Thursday, Sunday

Requirements:

Valid driver's license
Must be prepared to provide a driver's abstract
Must have held valid insurance coverage for a minimum of 3 years

Key Responsibilities:

Cut, label, and assemble full customer orders for the next business day
Receive, unload, and complete inspections/paperwork for all vendor deliveries
Cut, pick, and pack orders for immediate sales as needed
Deliver and pick up customer products from vendors and vendor displays
Maintain accurate inventory counts on all in-stock products
Ensure all in-stock products have samples cut and displayed
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse throughout the workday
Operate and maneuver a forklift safely
Follow strict safety guidelines in compliance with WCB and OHS standards
Assist with the setup, teardown, and movement of displays and products
Label and store roll ends appropriately
Sweep and use floor cleaners to ensure a safe environment
Empty garbage and shredders as required
Perform shipping and receiving tasks

Equipment Responsibilities:

Inspect and maintain equipment needed to perform job tasks
Complete daily pre-shift inspection reports for all equipment
Refill forklift and floor cleaner batteries with distilled water every 90 days
Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and cutters
Load/unload shipments and organize products in storage areas
Maintain a clean and hazard-free back storage area
Ensure equipment is charged and ready for use

Additional Responsibilities:

Participate in forklift training and certification programs as required
Report any unsafe work conditions or injuries immediately
Attend company meetings as scheduled
Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of company truck/van
Perform physical duties (lifting, pulling, pushing) daily
