We are a machine shop located in Abbotsford. We are seeking an experienced and reliable shop helper with forklift experience. The permanent position is full time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications that we are seeking:

Physically fit (ability to lift and move items up to 23 kg/50 lbs)

Experience in operating a forklift

Experience in operating various equipment, machines and hand held tools such as overhead cranes, and power tools.

Experience in operating metal cutting band saws (ability to accurately read written dimensions and transfer to material to be sawn)

Mechanically inclined and willingness to learn

Time Management

Attention to details

Ability to communicate effectively in English: reading, writing and speaking

Effectively follow directions

Valid Driver's License

Core Duties of the position (but not limited to):

Ensure shop is organized and aisle are clear

Workstation cleanup (metal chips are removed, machine wipe down and floor swept)

Operate forklift to load and unload deliveries, chip bins, and relocate materials or products

Securely package products for shipping and process associated paperwork

Receiving items, inspect, and process associated paperwork

Filing of forms/proof of delivery/packing slips/purchase orders/sales orders

Bar cut material

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
