Landform is currently hiring a few Lead Hands to join our growing Landscape Construction division. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive outdoors, enjoy physical, hands-on work, and bring a proactive approach to leadership and team collaboration.

Working closely with the Foreman, the Lead Hand helps guide the daily operations of the construction crew, supports safe and efficient project execution, and upholds Landform's Core Values of:

Key Tasks - Construction:
Assisting in the creation of outdoor spaces including parks, sports fields, residential yards, and ecological restoration projects
Preparing ground surfaces for landscaping using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
Installing and maintaining landscape features such as:
-Irrigation systems
-Sod and seed
-Pathways, retaining walls, fences, and other structural elements
Planting and caring for trees, shrubs, and other live materials
Operating and maintaining machinery including skid steers, excavators, and various power tools
Gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of materials including rock, concrete, and natural vegetation

Leadership Support & Site Coordination
Support the Foreman in supervising on-site activities, timelines, and crew coordination
Participate in and assign physical job tasks, ensuring safety and quality at each stage
Step in as acting Foreman when required
Conduct hazard assessments, daily toolbox talks, and emergency drills
Train and mentor new team members in safe, productive work habits
Monitor equipment use and coordinate preventative maintenance
Maintain effective communication with project teams and logistics contacts

Mandatory Training & Certifications:
Current First Aid Certification
Leadership for Safety Excellence, Ground Disturbance 1, and Load Securement
Completion of company orientation, Core Values training, and job-specific documentation protocols
