Harvesting Labourers

Summerfield Farms, located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, BC, is looking to hire 10 Farm Labourers.

The work locations are as follows:

- Street, Langley, British Columbia V4W 1N5
- 3656 Ross Road Abbotsford, British Columbia V4X 1T1

The farm labourers will perform the following duties:

Dig, cut, mix, and prepare soil for planting
Plant blueberries, flowers, and vegetables
Plant and transplant
cedar trees as they grow.
Plant bulbs.
Prune plants, including removal of shoots with mildew, if needed.
Install plant support system and tie plants to supports, as needed
Irrigate and tend to plants as directed
Maintain, clean, and store farm tools after use
Report signs of insect or disease damage
prepare plants for winter.
Report to and follow the directions of the supervisor
Keep plant beds free of weeds that compete with the plants growth Other general farm duties as assigned.

We will provide training; previous experience is an asset, but is not required.
This is a physically demanding outdoor job, so the farm labourers will be exposed to different weather conditions.

The ability to speak basic English is an asset.

Wage offered: $17.85/hour
