About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Executive Director (ED) to lead the daily operations and clinical care at our Assisted Living home. Reporting directly to the Owner/President, the ED will ensure that all services align with our mission, values, and regulatory standards. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on clinical guidance to provide high-quality, person-centered care.
Qualifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in British Columbia (required)
5 years experience in senior care (preferred)
Proven leadership/management experience.
Experience in staff education or training is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
_Leadership & Care Delivery:_
Provide leadership to all staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and respectful work culture.
Guide clinical decision-making and coordinate high-quality, resident-focused care.
Complete resident assessments and develop personalized service plans.
Collaborate with families, physicians, and community partners to ensure open communication and continuity of care.
Oversee the admission process to ensure residents are suitable for the services provided.
_Operations & Human Resources:_
Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management for staff and volunteers.
Maintain effective staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage.
Implement health and safety practices and lead emergency preparedness efforts.
Monitor and manage compliance with all policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
Lead and report on quality improvement initiatives and site audits.
_Finance & Resource Management:_
Approve site expenditures within delegated authority.
Monitor monthly cash flow and report regularly to the Owner/President.
Ensure responsible use of resources, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
_Risk & Relationship Management:_
Identify, manage, and report operational risks to the Owner/President.
Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders.
