Our client, a Canadian supplier of equipment and components for various industrial sectors, is looking for an Allison Diesel Engine and Automatic Transmission Technician for their Val d'Or service centre.

Salary: between $39.77 and $52.31 /depending on experience

Schedule: 5/2 schedule: Monday to Friday 8 hrs/day or 4/3 schedule: Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday 10 hrs/day

Responsibilities

- Inspection and diagnostics

- Maintenance and repair of equipment in the workshop or at the customer's site.

- Refurbish and transform parts according to repair needs.

- Maintain effective customer relations.

- Report equipment maintenance needs to manager or office manager.

- Report on work performed.

- Completes maintenance formalities.

- Update and archive maintenance reports.

- Completes warranty information.

- Write up work orders.

- Daily completion of attendance sheet.

- Order parts and tools as required.

- Load and unload new and used equipment.

- Use manufacturers' online technical support.

- General cleaning of premises.

- Assist colleagues in other departments as required.

- Participate in maintenance training courses on site or at manufacturers' premises.

-Participation in mandatory health and safety training sessions.

- Adhere to safety and health programs and procedures.

- Carrying out daily tasks to maintain workplace safety.

- DEP in heavy machinery mechanics, heavy equipment, diesel, construction equipment or related fields.

- Work experience: 1 to 3 years

- Analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Basic written and oral skills.

- Ability to work well with customers and others.

Specific qualifications: 3-5 years' experience in diesel engines, experience in automatic transmissions would be an asset / ability to perform diagnostics according to supplier's program.
