We're now seeking a Lumber Trader to join our Montreal-based team. In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you'll work directly with Canadian buying groups to manage the purchasing and sales of softwood lumber and panels. What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Manage buying/selling transactions for softwood lumber and panel products
• Analyze trading regulations and market data to inform decisions
• Oversee inventory across plants and distribution centers
• Maintain stock accuracy and reduce waste through smart logistics
• Build and strengthen relationships with major buying groups (e.g. Rona, BMR, Home Hardware)
• Stay current with industry pricing trends, trade shows, and regulatory shifts
• Represent Stella-Jones at events and grow our market presence

What You Bring to the Table:

• 1-2 years of experience trading softwood lumber
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French
• Skilled negotiator with excellent relationship-building and communication skills
• Strategic mindset with analytical chops and strong time management
• Professional integrity and a proactive, independent work ethic
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
