Location: Scarborough, Ontario

Are you experienced in contract review and risk management? Our client-an industry leader in the construction and elevator services sector-is seeking a Contracts & Risk Administrator to support their legal, compliance, and operational teams from their Scarborough office.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret bid documents, service/maintenance agreements, modernization contracts, new installation agreements, and change orders.
  • Negotiate and approve contract terms in collaboration with sales representatives and customers.
  • Support projects with legal, regulatory, or operational risk implications.
  • Advise internal departments and external clients on contractual rights and obligations.
  • Assist with preparing insurance and bond request forms.
  • Help draft and issue demand letters to non-paying customers; negotiate settlements and early contract cancellations.
  • Support the review and revision of national agreements and assist in preparing internal guidance documents.
  • Conduct research into legislative updates and industry trends related to contracts.
  • Collaborate with branch teams on resolving delinquent accounts receivable (AR) matters.
  • Perform additional legal research and administrative tasks to support Legal, Compliance, Contracts & Risk functions.
  • Your Qualifications:

    • Post-secondary degree or certificate in Law, Legal Administration, or Paralegal Studies.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in contract review and administration-experience with Canadian construction contracts is an asset.
    • Familiarity with legal terminology and ability to interpret contractual language.
    • Strong analytical and negotiation skills; detail-oriented.
    • Able to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a team-focused mindset.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
