We have partnered with a client who is a leader in the railcar leasing and maintenance industry, dedicated to operational excellence and the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety performance. We are seeking an experienced Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee and enhance EHS programs at their Moose Jaw Service Center.
The Role:
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of EHS programs in compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to proactively identify hazards and ensure mitigation measures are in place.
- Deliver training programs and coach employees to promote a safety-first culture.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, determining root causes and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Serve as the site's primary contact for all EHS-related matters, both internally and with external agencies.
The Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in an EHS role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Certification such as CRSP, CSP, or equivalent is an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and provincial EHS legislation and compliance requirements.
- Willingness to Travel to other site locations and the clients' corporate office as required.
