Position Details: Permanent Part-Time
Schedule: (2 days per week, flexible on which days)
Compensation: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour depending on experience
For eligible applicants, this position will qualify for Status tax exemption.

Position Overview: As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in assessing and developing individualized treatment plans for residents to enhance their mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities -
Client Care Functions:
Assess clients to identify issues and rehabilitation needs.
Set client goals, develop, and document care plans.
Request physician referrals and treat clients per their plans.
Provide and recommend adaptive equipment and training for personal care.
Offer counseling on lifestyle adjustments.
Reassess and modify treatment plans as needed.
Participate in team conferences and maintain communication with the care team.
Administrative Functions:
Maintain client statistics and attend meetings.
Prepare and monitor the annual budget, order supplies.
Develop and update policies and procedures.
Supervise employees, volunteers, and rehabilitation HCAs.
Ensure a safe working environment, conduct inspections, and report hazards.
Education Function:
Participate in and present at in-service education sessions.
Communicate with clients, families, and team members about rehabilitation treatments.
Professional Responsibilities:
Uphold professional ethics and standards.
Contribute to the profession's growth through information exchange and continuing education.
Client Safety:
Focus on client safety in all duties.
Report unsafe activities and educate others on safety techniques.
Correct unsafe behaviors observed in clients.
Other Responsibilities:
Arrange for aids through the AADL Program.
Communicate with community and health care agencies for consistent client care.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved school of Physiotherapy.
Membership in the Canadian Association of Physiotherapists and the BC College of Physical Therapists in good standing.
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Able to work independently and make timely decisions while also effectively collaborating with the care team, in line with the Collaborative Care Model.
Experience in a long-term care considered an asset.
