Position Overview:

The Derivatives Trading group of the client Investment Management is looking to fill a position, at the consultant level, as the Calypso OTC Trading Platform Developer. This role reports into the IM Operations IT team. This person would be responsible for the development and enhancement of vendor derivatives trading platform Calypso and its integration with various upstream reference systems and downstream systems.

The right candidate:

Has hands on experience with Calypso Development, Calypso Upgrade, Customization. We are currently on V16 version.

Design the quality platform solutions and interfaces with various client systems.

Interact with multiple business stakeholders (traders, trade support and operations) for requirements and support.

Required Experience:

8+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in Calypso Development

Skill Set: Calypso Developer with core java experience

Primary means:

Hands on development background on Calypso platform and Calypso version Upgrade.

Substantial experience in Java EE with deep understanding of Spring Framework

Working knowledge of Databases including Design, SQL proficiency, and Stored Procedure creation

Fansliantly with Unga Emvironment (hasic commands) and batch scripting languages (s/pard/python)

Strong development skills with ability to understand technical design and translate the same into workable solution

Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and work on the same to meet business requirements.

Excellent communication and technical writing.

Good to have skills:

Experience working with Source Code Management solutions (ex. Git, Perforce, CVS)

Familiarity with standard devops tools - Jenkins, Sonar, Jira

Knowledge of financial fechnologies (e.g. EpMI., Swift protocol) and business applications

Education:

B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study required. MS degree strongly preferred.
