Daily work responsibilities for this position could include:
- Utilizing PLS Land Data Management System effectively
- Provide accurate documents and transmittals as required for the file
- Document preparation of Surface Leases, Right of Way Agreements, Amending Agreements, Letter Agreements, and a complete land package
- Application and processing of Crown Land dispositions
- Identifying and managing Third-Party requests, and processing of Agreements for construction readiness
- Update and maintain land data for survey, construction, and Third-Party line lists
- Input and track stakeholder communications
- Ensure all documentation is saved correctly
- Administer required notification and mail out programs according to the regulator and client requests
- Professional and effective correspondence with clients, regulatory agencies, lawyers, engineers, surveyors, and industry peers
- Maintain project checklists to ensure files are up-to-date and complete
- Registration of rights at LTO offices
- Manage payments to landowners and other stakeholders
- Prepare and assemble final packages digitally, and paper copies to the client
- Ability to adapt and learn specific client land data systems as needed
Your experience includes:
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Teams
- Land Administration certificate or equivalent experience in a Land Administration position
- Hold or ability to obtain a valid Alberta Commissioners for Oaths appointment, as well as other Provinces
- Knowledge of Spin II, ETS systems and AER OneStop, AEP EDS system, BCER Applications, ILRR, myLTSA, CORES, and ISC
- Knowledge of First Nations/Metis Consultation process
- Familiarity and expertise in different Regulatory Acts and their corresponding guidelines, including but not limited to AER, BCER, AUC, CER, and Land and Property Rights Tribunal
