Responsibilities:
Role: responsible for understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations through various research methods. Senior and Intermediate Web Multi-media Content Consultants gather and analyze data to inform design decisions, ensuring that the final product is user-centered and meets the needs and expectations of the target audience. Tasks in the scope of this role could include:
- Identifying, collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing existing research and data to help better inform if/ what original research is required to adequately respond to a specific query;
- Working with users, designers, and external and/or internal Stakeholders to understand research needs and determine appropriate next research steps;
- Applying equitable and accessible research practices and including a wide range of users in research activities to help the CDO and associated teams deliver accessible services;
- Scoping, planning, managing and executing all aspects of user research studies including all of the following:
- Determining appropriate research methods;
- Defining research questions;
- Recruiting participants;
- Research moderation;
- Data collection and analysis; and,
- Documentation and presentation of actionable recommendations.
- Turning research data into clear findings that inform decisions and help better understand user behaviors, needs, pain points, and motivations;
- Making recommendations specific to a variety of UX activities including but not limited to:
- Information architecture (IA);
- Content design;
- Interface design; and
- Service design.
- Summarizing findings to be repurposed for potential future requirements;
- Aligning user research activities with business objectives to create strategic insights that inform policy;
- Working in an open, iterative and collaborative way in a multidisciplinary team;
- Applying research ethics, data privacy, accessibility, and inclusive lenses to all stages of research activities.
Deliverables:
Web Multi-media Content Consultant (UX Researcher)
- User research activities to support discovery of user needs and evaluation of user performance including a range of moderated and unmoderated usability testing as well as a range of user research methods, depending on the problem space (surveys, diary studies, interviews);
- Content-related user research activities including card sorts, tree jack testing, content understanding, content discovery;
- Research reports;
- Presentations to communicate research insights and recommendations;
- Addition of relevant insights to the design system specifications; and
Addition of insights to the UX research repository for future reuse
Mandatory Technical Criteria

Experience as Intermediate UX Researcher
The Contractor must demonstrate, using Reference Project(s) that the proposed resource for Intermediate Web Multi-media Content Consultant as UX Researcher, has a minimum of sixty (60) months of experience within the past one hundred twenty (120) months of the TA request date as a Web Multi- media Content Consultant - Level 2 in accordance with the TBIPS Supply Arrangement EN32 series.
To demonstrate such experience, the Contractor must provide one (1) or more Reference Project(s) as defined in Section 1.0 of this appendix.

UX Research Activities
The Contractor must demonstrate using Reference Project(s) that the proposed resource for Intermediate Web Multi-media
Content Consultant as UX Researcher, has a
minimum of thirty-six (36) months of experience within the past one hundred twenty
(120) months of the TA request date participating in all the following research activities:
- User interviews;
- Usability testing; and
- Accessibility testing.
To demonstrate such experience, the Contractor must provide one (1) or more Reference Project(s) as defined in Section 1.0 of this appendix.

End-to-End Research Process
The Contractor must demonstrate using Reference Project(s) that the proposed resource for Intermediate Web Multi-media Content Consultant as UX Researcher, has a minimum of thirty-six (36) months of experience within the past one hundred twenty
(120) months of the TA request date participating in all aspects of user research studies including a minimum of 4 of the following:
- Determining appropriate research methods;
- Defining research plan;
- Recruiting participants;
- Research moderation;
- Data collection and analysis; or,
- Documentation, insights, and presentation of actionable recommendations.
To demonstrate such experience, the Contractor must provide one (1) or more Reference Project(s) as defined in Section 1.0 of this appendix.
