Responsibilities:
Web Multi-media Content Consultant - Level Senior and Intermediate (Content Designer)
Role: responsible for creating and structuring content to ensure it is clear, engaging, and user- focused. Senior and Intermediate Web Multi-media Content Consultants collaborate with designers and researchers to develop content strategies that meet user needs and align with business objectives, ensuring consistency and coherence across all platforms. Tasks in the scope of this role could include:
- Creating, evaluating, updating and reviewing content throughout the end-to-end user journey;
- Working closely with stakeholders to identify the following:
- Identify product requirements;
- Group and label content, generate sitemaps and design navigation systems;
- Create diagrams to demonstrate the hierarchy of information; and
- Develop taxonomies or controlled vocabularies.
- Using information architecture best practices and user research insights, organize, structure, and label information in an effective way so that users can find the information they need quickly and easily navigate a service, product, app, or website;
- Collaborating with UX researchers to ensure that content decisions are evidence- based;
- Working closely with the UX and product teams to understand the target users, including:
- Craft copy for all user touchpoints to help users navigate the product;
- Devise and implement a UX content strategy;
- Writing and copy-editing content following plain language and accessibility requirements;
- Ensuring compliance with the Canada.ca Content Style Guide 6 and the Canada.ca design system;
Collaborating with UX designers on determining the best ways and appropriate formats through which the content should be communicated
Deliverables :
- Tone and voice specifications for products or services;
- Content strategy for products or services;
- Templates for content types;
- Additions of elements and patterns to the design system and/or style guides;
- Prototypes of content formats and layouts;
- Content analysis reports and recommendations;
- Information architecture specifications for products (site architecture, navigation specifications);
- Taxonomies or controlled vocabularies for products or systems;
- Copy for products and services, including micro-copy; and
- Newsletters or other communications products to support product or service goals.

Experience as Intermediate Content Designer
The Contractor must demonstrate, using Reference Project(s) that the proposed resource for Intermediate Web Multi-media Content Consultant as Content Designer, has a minimum of sixty (60) months of experience within the past one hundred twenty (120) months as of the TA request date as a Web Multi-media Content Consultant - Level 2 in accordance with the TBIPS Supply Arrangement EN32 series.
To demonstrate such experience, the Contractor must provide one (1) or more Reference Project(s) as defined in Section 1.0 of this appendix.

Content Structuring & Taxonomy
The Contractor must demonstrate, using Reference Project(s) that the proposed resource for Intermediate Web Multi-media Content Consultant as Content Designer, has a minimum of thirty-six (36) months of combined experience within the past one hundred twenty
(120) months of the TA request date performing all the following tasks:
- Identify requirements;
- Group and label content, generate sitemaps and design navigation systems using information architecture best practices;
- Create diagrams to demonstrate the hierarchy of information; and
- Develop taxonomies or controlled vocabularies.
To demonstrate such experience, the Contractor must provide one (1) or more Reference Project(s) as defined in Section 1.0 of this appendix.
