About the job

Based in Markham, Ontario, the Bilingual Technical Inside Sales Representative is a pivotal role supporting the growth of our client's electrical test and measurement division. This position is ideal for electrical technicians who have developed strong sales or customer service skills and are seeking a dynamic, office-based role. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers and distributors, combining your technical expertise with sales acumen to deliver outstanding support and build lasting relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage all incoming sales inquiries by phone and email to provide technical and sales assistance to new and existing customers and distributors.
• Provide support to outside sales reps and internal staff and act as the conduit between customers and outside sales reps when required.
• Provide pricing, complete quotations, respond to tender requests, provide technical assistance to both internal and external customers, process orders, and assist with other sales and administrative tasks as required.
• Produce regular reports relating to sales, revenues, customers, etc.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, outside sales reps, distributors, our client's manufacturing facilities, and others.
• Maintain, update, and enter information into our client's SAP/ERP and CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Degree/certificate in a technical field (electrical/electronic preferred).
• 1+ years of experience in a customer service or technical sales role, preferably in an electronics environment.
• Strong customer service and sales focus with the ability to take care of both external and internal customers.
• Strong computer skills with above-average knowledge of MS Office, in-house systems (e.g., SAP), and CRM programs.
• Detailed and well-organized with strong communication skills - written and oral.
• Experience with quote preparation, tender responses, and CRM upkeep.
• A knowledge of the utility and electrical testing industry would be an asset.
• Bilingual in English/French.
