The ideal candidate will design, organize, and modify the company's computer systems. This individual will evaluate and assess systems to ensure they are operating effectively. Based on assessments, this individual will harness collected knowledge and make adjustments to existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Look after both physical and virtual servers to keep them running smoothly.
• Regularly update servers and switches to stay secure.
• Have a plan for disaster recovery and test backup solutions to make sure data is always available.
• Make sure the business keeps running smoothly with redundancy and failover systems.
• Handle backups and recovery for servers, apps, and file shares.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or IT, or similar training.
• 5 years of experience supporting servers and networks within a manufacturing setting.

Required Skills

• Great scripting (Bash, Powershell, Python) for automating tasks and monitoring systems.
• Solid understanding of Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu) and Windows Server.
• Cisco Certification (CCNA or CCNP) or working towards.
• Experience or certification with NetApp and VMware.
• Experience or certification with Veeam backup and recovery.
