Job Overview:

Our client is undertaking a strategic initiative to implement category management across the organization to drive operational and financial efficiencies. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to support the planning and execution of complex procurement projects across multiple categories, including IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and actions across multiple procurement workstreams
  • Procurement Coordination: Assist in tasks such as forecasting, gathering technical requirements, drafting strategies, and preparing solicitation documents
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare dashboards, reports, issue logs, and maintain project records
  • Process Improvement: Identify and support enhancements to procurement tools and practices
  • Training Support: Contribute to the development of templates, training materials, and communication tools
  • Other Duties: Support category leads with additional project-related tasks as needed

Requirements:

Must Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in complex procurement projects
  • 3+ years in a project coordination or management role
  • Minimum 6 years of combined relevant education and professional experience

Nice to Have:

  • 3+ years developing change management, training, or communication plans
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, readiness programs, or facilitation roles
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio or similar diagramming tools
