CORPORATE EVENT PLANNER

The Company

Our client is a well-established not-for-profit organization with a national reach, supporting the growth and engagement of a professional membership network. They are seeking an experienced Corporate Event Planner to lead the planning and execution of various in-person and virtual events, including a flagship annual conference and ongoing online seminars. This is a great opportunity for a bilingual events professional who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is motivated by delivering exceptional member experiences.

The Job!

As part of the Events Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful planning and delivery of national events that serve and engage a broad membership. You will:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of corporate events, both in-person and virtual
  • Drive member engagement by delivering events that align with organizational goals and priorities
  • Manage event logistics, vendor relations, and speaker coordination
  • Liaise with French-speaking members, partners, and stakeholders as the primary bilingual contact
  • Assist with contract negotiations, budgeting, content planning, and sponsorship support
  • Lead volunteer coordination and provide administrative oversight where needed
  • Analyze event success and report findings to inform future strategy
  • Provide recommendations based on event data and industry best practices
  • Ensure smooth financial tracking, invoicing, and vendor payments
  • Support additional projects and responsibilities as required

What you bring to the job

You are a confident, detail-oriented event professional who thrives on planning exceptional experiences and driving engagement through thoughtful event strategy. You bring:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate event planning
  • Post-secondary education in event management, hospitality, or related field
  • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation - required
  • Experience managing both virtual and in-person events, such as conferences or seminars
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in both English and French
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid model (3 days/week in Toronto office)
  • Flexibility to support events outside of typical business hours, as needed
