Position: Bilingual Payroll Specialist

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid - 4 days in office)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Our client is seeking a Bilingual Payroll Specialist to manage full-cycle, multi-provincial payroll. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with accuracy, ownership, and compliance, and is open to contributing to a broader HR team over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for employees across Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, and British Columbia
  • Ensure full compliance with CRA, Revenu Québec, and provincial standards
  • Manage salaried, hourly, and commission-based payroll cycles
  • Handle T4S, RL-1s, ROEs, year-end processing, RRSP contributions, and reconciliation
  • Collaborate with the finance team on journal entries and audit support
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and regulatory changes

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and French is Mandatory (verbal and written)
  • PCP Certification (completed through the National Payroll Institute)
  • 2-3 years of Canadian payroll experience, ideally in a multi-provincial or high-volume setting
  • Proficient in ADP Workforce Now (or similar systems like Ceridian, Dayforce, Workday)
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of handling confidential data with discretion
  • Eager to contribute to a growing HR/payroll team and open to expanding into HR support over time
