As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will influence decision-making for key business leaders through financial data and insights, serving as the main contact to provide findings and recommendations to our senior leadership team and CFO.

Job Description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plan, forecast, and manage average inventory and inventory turns for the Decor merchandising portfolio.
  2. Analyze information and develop reports to drive the business and improve the "bottom line".
  3. Prepare financial analysis and forecasts for use in financial decision-making.
  4. Liaise with business partners in divisional and corporate offices to ensure effective communication.
  5. Create new and supplemental reporting methods to aid management in proactive problem solving.
  6. Participate in budget preparations and analysis.
  7. Maintain company records in accordance with accounting principles.
  8. Ensure accuracy and integrity of reporting systems.
  9. Provide value-added analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  10. Conduct special financial and statistical studies in coordination with other departments.
  11. Collaborate with merchandising teams to develop analysis to drive business growth.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Must have fulfilled minimum time-in-position (1 year).
  • 3 to 5 years of financial/accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Bilingual in English/French is an asset.
  • Self-starter, organized, efficient, and able to produce high-quality work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration at all levels.
  • Strong work ethic, responsibility, and confidentiality.
  • Flexible attitude and approach to business solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business analysis and financial modeling.
