About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, and cloud infrastructure to help modernize and evolve our enterprise platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Active Directory Domain Services, including Group Policy, LDAP/LDAPS, and related domain controller functions, with a focus on aligning with cloud native architectures.
- Manage and enhance DNS infrastructure, including:
- Windows DNS, Azure Private DNS, AWS Route 53
- Conditional forwarders, zone management (primary and secondary), split-brain DNS
- DNSSEC, record lifecycle management, and performance tuning
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with cloud first strategies and supports scalable, secure operations.
- Apply a strong understanding of cloud technologies and architectures (Azure and AWS), including:
- Networking, identity integration, monitoring, and logging
- Familiarity with landing zone concepts and cloud governance frameworks
- Use tools like Splunk, Azure Log Analytics, Amazon CloudWatch, and DataDog to monitor system health, performance, and availability.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of observability principles, including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting strategies.
- Contribute to automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, and GitHub for version control and CI/CD workflows.
- Act as a technical leader and problem solver owning initiatives from start to finish, identifying root causes, researching solutions, and implementing changes that drive meaningful outcomes.
- Engage with stakeholders across teams to understand requirements, communicate solutions clearly, and deliver infrastructure that supports business goals.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, especially in AI, cloud native services, and security best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Platform, Systems, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Deep expertise in Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, LDAP/LDAPS, and domain controller operations.
- Strong understanding of DNS technologies and methodologies, including:
- Public/private DNS, DNSSEC, conditional forwarding, and zone management (primary and secondary)
- Solid knowledge of Azure and AWS platforms, including core services, networking, and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in writing queries in Splunk (SPL), Azure Log Analytics (KQL), and CloudWatch Logs Insights (LIQL).
- Experience with observability platforms such as DataDog, and a strong grasp of monitoring and alerting best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a proactive, self directed approach.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modernizing Active Directory environments and aligning them with cloud native identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Splunk Core Certified User.
- Exposure to AI/ML tools in infrastructure or monitoring workflows.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and cloud native security models.
