Software Developer (ETL) - Senior

Location: 87 Sir William Hearst Ave., Toronto, ON

Pay Rate $80-85/hr

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Review project artefacts (Use Cases, SRS, maintenance release documents).
• Produce detailed system design documents and all supporting documentation to ministry standards.
• Design logical and physical data models in Sybase PowerDesigner.
• Create comprehensive transformation mapping documentation.
• Build data pipelines with Azure Data Factory (ADF), stored procedures, and Informatica PowerCenter for extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Develop integrations with Logic Apps and Azure Function Apps.
• Generate structured JSON files via ADF/SQL.
• Build Azure CI/CD pipelines to automate ADF releases.
• Develop complex Oracle PL/SQL programmes to meet project needs.
• Perform complex data conversions (e.g., binary character, EBCDIC UTF).
• Implement advanced data transformations to derive/calculated values.
• Integrate datasets from diverse source systems; support both initial and incremental loads.
• Promote ADF and Informatica ETL/ELT through Dev, INT, QA, UAT, and Prod environments.
• Troubleshoot ADF pipelines, stored procedures, Informatica workflows; analyse incidents and provide timely resolutions.
• Optimise performance of ADF pipelines, Azure SQL/Synapse databases, and Informatica workflows.
• Monitor daily application functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with IT professionals across the full SDLC and provide knowledge transfer to ministry staff.
