The Role: Director, Employer and Payor Partnerships

What you'll be doing:
- Lead the strategy and development of innovative sustainable solutions to help employers and payor partners manage their drug plans and improve the health and wellbeing of their plan members.
- Establish and execute overall payor strategy and identifies markets that support the overall financial goals of the organization
- Drive incremental prescription growth for Rexall by identifying and assessing potential partnership opportunities
- Provide leadership on quantitative and qualitative analysis to support recommendations.
- Monitor competitive market, identifies trends and potential revenue streams
- Monitor results against business goals and makes decisions to course-correct and alter strategic plans where shortfalls are forecasted
- Negotiate contracts with payors, including major insurance companies in Canada, benefits consultants, employers, government agencies, third-party administrators, etc.
- Develop methods to maximize client satisfaction and establishes metrics to quantify satisfaction results back to the business
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Loyalty, Pharmacy Programs, and Operations Teams to develop and launch strategic initiatives, programs, and services that delivered differentiated value to clients
- Represent Rexall at various pharmacy and industry-specific events to strengthen partnerships, engage with prospects and stay informed on sector trends
- Act as one of the main points of contact for issues that have been advanced from store-level clients, and pharmacy pricing team with respect to private payor reimbursement;
- Prepare presentations and RFPs in response to new business opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- 5-7 years business development/account management experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Keen understanding of the health benefits industry, including but not limited to drug plan management, health and dental trusts
- Understanding of preferred pharmacy networks
- Strategic and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong client relationship management and customer service skills
- Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong executive leadership presence; advising senior leadership recommendations
- Must be willing to travel
- University Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Experience leading teams preferred
- Experience in health insurance industry or working with benefit consultant groups preferred
