Our client is a growing mid-to-high rise residential construction firm in the GTA, recognized for quality builds and a strong commitment to safety. They're hiring a Health and Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance across all sites.

Role Overview

The Health and Safety Manager will develop and enforce safety programs in line with legislation and company standards. They'll foster a proactive safety culture through on-site leadership and training.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OHSA, WSIB, and internal policies
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and onboarding
• Maintain up-to-date safety records and reports
• Guide field staff and subcontractors on daily safety practices
• Collaborate with inspectors and regulatory agencies
• Analyze safety data and propose improvements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience, ideally in residential high-rise
• Strong knowledge of OHSA and Ontario regulations
• CHSO, CRSP, or NCSO certifications preferred
• Skilled in coaching teams and leading safety programs
• Experience with safety software (e.g., SiteDocs, eCompliance)
• Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle
