Partner with the Director, HR (Porsche Canada) and the Managing Director of Porsche Centre North Toronto (PCNT) to maximize client delivery in the areas of Recruitment, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Policy & Procedures, Employee Engagement and Health and Safety. You will execute activities aligned with the business while ensuring strategies, plans and initiatives are delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, Porsche directives and best practices. This position is assigned to business units as a lead resource to managers and employees in support and implementation of HR-related initiatives. This position reports to the Managing Director of Porsche Centre North Toronto (PCNT) with a dotted line reporting to Director, Human Resources, Porsche Cars Canada Ltd (PCL).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching, advice, service and support to department leaders to enable talent and business strategies to support a culture of inclusion, empowerment and leadership effectiveness.
- Act as point of contact for employees and management within client group on all applicable HR-related issues.
- Work with Director, Human Resources in planning organizational change within client group to include the preparing and updating of organizational policies/initiatives, headcount plans and job description profiles.
- Administer and interpret Human Resources policies & procedures, legal compliance and ensures clear communication and equitable application of policies.
- Responsible for the proper usage of, awareness of, and compliance with Information Technology security policies for PCNT.
- Partner with hiring managers to lead and facilitate end-to-end recruitment solutions to meet Organizational, Divisional and Departmental priorities.
- Develop and implement effective and innovative approaches to recruitment strategies and talent sourcing.
- Conduct employee onboarding, directive training and orientation.
- Facilitate employee offboarding and conduct exit interviews
- Other duties as assigned.
Employment Relations Management
- Working in partnership with Dealership Managers, manage the broad spectrum of Employee Relations issues, including Performance Management, Discipline, Coaching and Counseling in a hands-on, professional manner.
- Ensure consistency of implementation of performance management processes across the Group
- Monitor disciplinary and grievance issues in conjunction with the line manager to ensure fairness and consistency in all decision making.
- Provide guidance, advice and support to Business Managers on all aspects of the application and best practice of PCNT HR Policy and Procedures
Employee Engagement
- Be our culture champion and support an environment that encourages high performance and retention of talent
- Drive employee engagement through clear and effective communication of company values, mission, vision and expectations
- Provide guidance and participate with social committee on internal events
Health and Safety
- Partner with JHSC to be champions of workplace Health & Safety
- Participate in JHSC monthly inspection, meetings, workplace investigations, ensure compliance for all legislative requirements
- Ensure all employees receive H&S training and keep advised on any new legislated requirements
- Investigate, document, and manage WSIB matters
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent experience
- Professional in Human Resources (CHRP) certification an asset
- 3-5 years of practical HR experience in a "generalist" capacity is required
- Exposure to applicable provincial and federal employment law is required
- Certified JHSC member preferred
- 2+ years' experience in a recruiting capacity is preferred
- Automotive background an asset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - ability to liaise with all levels of the business
- Up to date on current trends and best practices in human resources including changes in legislation and employment practices through professional development and networking events
- Strong team leader with an ability to instill trust and collaboration with colleagues, leadership, and employees
