The successful Product Development Engineer, will join a team of dedicated engineers with the goal of pushing the edge of what is possible with professional audio products. Success in this role requires a strong interest in product design, acoustics, physics, design for manufacture and the drive to perform in a competitive industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Product design with a focus on Design for Manufacturability
  • Participate in product planning and conceptual design
  • Prototype and source material for new products
  • Develop and analyze 3D models of parts and assemblies
  • Develop BOMs from CAD drawings
  • Participate in NPI initiatives
  • Analyze prototypes and produced product for deficiencies, defects and potential improvements

Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion of a minimum of bachelors degree in Physics or Engineering
  • Proven experience bringing finished products to market
  • Good sense of design with some related experience
  • Working knowledge of a wide variety of CNC machines would be an asset
  • Strong CAD skills
  • Experience with FEA / BEM Software (COMSOL, Ansys, etc.).
  • Familiarity with acoustic principals is an asset (can be learned).
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring and organizational skills.
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, computer and problem-solving skills.
