Responsibilities:
- Lead the plant maintenance program with a focus on planning, scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Supervise maintenance and setup teams, ensuring timely and quality completion of work.
- Conduct machine downtime assessments; analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain an asset management plan for capital planning and risk mitigation.
- Lead capital projects aimed at improving safety, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and industrial equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues using testing instruments and diagnostic tools.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure continuous operation of machinery.
- Manage CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and deliver training to staff.
- Create and update preventive maintenance checklists.
- Organize MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) material using ERP systems; maintain critical spare parts lists.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the maintenance team to build a culture of accountability and engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Requirements:
- Engineering degree or Skilled Trades Certification (e.g., Millwright, Electrician - 442A or 309A)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Injection moulding experience is required
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience
- Proficiency in CMMS management and training
- Strong skills in project management, PMP certification is an asset
- Proficient with MS Project or equivalent planning tools
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, and motor controls
