Job Title: Project Manager/ Business Consultant
Location: Edmonton AB, T5K 2J6
Hybrid: (3-4) Days onsite per week
Working Hours: Standard Hours of work are 08:15 - 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the province.
Job Summary: The successful resource will have experience working within the Canadian health system context, ideally with the Alberta health system, and understands the health system stakeholders and their needs. This resource has experience working with senior / executive level health system stakeholders in planning, development, and adoption information systems. This resource can demonstrate experience with the legislative context of the health system, such as the Health Information Act (HIA) and Electronic Health Regulation or a Canadian equivalent.
Responsibilities
• Lead, facilitate and document strategic plans and priorities, aligning to Primary and Preventative Health Service's vision.
• Identify work to achieve this vision.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and focus groups.
• Develop presentations and information for senior leaders, steering committees, project groups, and staff.
• Assist with risk management and issues management.
• Develop and execute change management plans and communication plans.
• Develop business cases through a consultative approach with business sponsors and key stakeholders, identifying benefits and performance measure indicators.
• Document initiative/project backgrounds, descriptions, environmental analyses, financial modeling, alternatives, impacts, risks, cost-benefit analyses, recommendations, implementation strategies, and approval processes.
• Provide quality assurance services throughout the business case development to ensure completeness and consistency of documentation, which could include content review;
• Identify risks associated with business cases and their implementation;
• Integrate and align multiple business cases, understand and document dependencies;
• Conduct market analysis and research to advise stakeholders of current industry trends as required;
• Lead interviews with business teams and other stakeholders to ensure proposed technical systems and solutions align with business requirements.
• Assisting development of Privacy Impact Assessments and associated business and system controls under Alberta's Health Information Act.
• Developing reports, summaries, presentations and communication material and other work products.
