Our client is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer for a 6-month contract based in Calgary, AB. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding enterprise infrastructure and driving proactive security practices across the organization.

What You'll Do:

• Lead day-to-day cybersecurity operations to protect systems, networks, and data

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents

• Implement controls in line with NIST 800-53 standards

• Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security best practices

• Manage and support SonicWall firewalls and network security tools

• Conduct log reviews and vulnerability assessments

• Deliver updates and reporting on overall security posture

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity

• Strong understanding of NIST 800-53 frameworks

• Proficiency with SonicWall network security appliances

• Experience with endpoint protection, SIEM, and vulnerability tools

• Analytical mindset with calm incident response skills

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
