Job Description:

A large-scale technology environment is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to support a modern API management platform based on Google Apigee. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on maintaining high availability, performance, and automation of production systems. This role requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and architecture teams to ensure the stability and continuous improvement of mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and capacity of production environments
• Participate in application releases, load testing, and configuration changes
• Customize and maintain production tools (monitoring, deployment, scheduling, etc.)
• Support architecture reviews, system upgrades, and migrations
• Identify and propose improvements in performance and capacity
• Respond to incidents and contribute to root cause analysis and long-term resolutions
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including evenings/weekends as needed

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Google Apigee and REST APIs
• Solid experience in Linux/Unix system administration
• Familiarity with application servers and web technologies: Tomcat, Apache, nginx, IIS
• Understanding of authentication protocols (e.g., SSO)
• Strong grasp of networking principles, firewalls, and load balancing
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace or similar monitoring tools
• Automation experience with Ansible / Ansible Tower
• Proficient in scripting/programming: Python, Perl, Ruby, Java
• Experience with log indexing and analysis tools: Splunk, Elasticsearch
• Bilingual or fluent in English is required

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to cloud infrastructure and DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with NoSQL databases: MongoDB, Cassandra
• Familiarity with ITIL practices: incident, change, release management
