About the Role

As a key member of the design team, you will report to the creative director and work on layout and design for our print magazines while also contributing to branding and digital design initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer with strong editorial instincts and a deep understanding of both traditional publishing and modern digital design.

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Graphic Designer with 5+ years of professional experience in print editorial design, web design, and branding. You will play a key role in conceptualizing and executing visually compelling layout design across print and digital platforms. Your eye for detail, strategic thinking, and ability to translate ideas into powerful visuals will help shape our brand's presence and storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce high-quality layouts for editorial projects including magazines, reports, catalogs, and marketing collateral.
  • Create and maintain brand identity systems, including logos, typography, colour palettes, and visual guidelines.
  • Develop visually engaging assets for websites, landing pages, and digital campaigns ensuring responsive design principles.
  • Collaborate closely with the creative director, editors and writers to bring content to life with thoughtful and engaging design.
  • Create digital assets for web, email newsletters, social media, and digital editions of our publications.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, present concepts, and incorporate feedback constructively.
  • Manage multiple projects with varying timelines while maintaining attention to detail and creative excellence.
  • Stay up to date on design trends, tools, and best practices in print and digital media.

Requirements

  • Graphic design degree with minimum 5 years of experience in a professional setting, with a strong focus on magazine or editorial layout.
  • Demonstrated expertise in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (Adobe Creative Suite). Knowledge of web design tools is a plus.
  • Proven experience working with established editorial workflows, grids, and typography for long-form content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines on a fast-paced publishing schedule.
  • Solid understanding of branding principles and ability to execute brand materials across multiple touchpoints.
  • Experience designing for both print and digital platforms.
  • Solid understanding of layout, typography, colour theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, editorial, key stakeholders).
  • Experience with photography selection and art direction.

Bonus Skills

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or working with CMS platforms.
  • Motion design or video editing (e.g., After Effects, Premiere).
  • Experience with photography selection and art direction.
