Our client, a leading manufacturer is seeking a R&D Specialist to be responsible for leading the development and formulation of innovative consumer products across a range of applications.

Please note this is a hands on, on site position- there is no remote capability.

Job Responsibilities

• Preparation & characterization of lab scale formulation batches.
• Ensure the formulation development activities for the assigned products are carried out in a timely manner as per organization needs.
• Revise and optimize existing formulations to ensure compliance while maintaining or improving product performance.
• Conduct lab work, including batching, stability testing, and performance evaluation.
• Look after assigned projects & ensure compliance to timelines as well as scientific & regulatory principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Regulatory, QA/QC, Sales, and Marketing to align formulation efforts with business and compliance needs.
• Stay current with regulatory guidelines and related industry standards.
• Prepare and review test methods, protocols, reports and standard operating procedures and train personnel as required.
• Source and evaluate raw materials with a focus on sustainability, performance, regulatory compliance, and cost.
• Maintain detailed formulation records, lab notebooks, and technical documentation.
• Participate in scale-up and production transfer processes in collaboration with manufacturing teams.
• Troubleshoot formulation or production issues and provide technical support to internal teams or customers as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or related fields.
• 3+ years of hands-on formulation experience in consumer or industrial chemical products.
• Proven experience working with Low VOC regulations and reformulation strategies.
