Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Estimator to join our dynamic pre-construction and estimating team. This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about leveraging technology to optimize the construction lifecycle. You will play a critical part in supporting cost planning and pricing strategies for complex building envelope projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quantity take-offs from architectural and structural drawings
• Help develop pricing for aluminum windows, curtain walls, and associated components
• Maintain and update pricing databases and estimation templates
• Support proposal development for commercial and residential projects
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and project teams to gather inputs for estimates
• Participate in risk assessments, value engineering, and cost-saving exercises
• Utilize digital tools including Siber's custom Product Lifecycle Management software for estimating and project tracking
• Attend internal training on product systems and estimation techniques

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or Revit is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with good mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Team-oriented with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• A strong desire and willingness to work with technology-driven systems
• Interest in the façade, fenestration, or glazing industry is highly desirable
