Position Summary
The Technical Records Coordinator - MRO will carry out aircraft technical record examination and assemble data packages as it relates to the AMO/MRO. Additionally, the Technical Records Coordinator will be responsible to work with Flight Operations / TCCA to provide the technical records needed to authorize flight permits for Flight Tests and Ferry Flights.
Key Responsibilities
- Review inbound aircraft documentation, (i.e.: Aircraft Log-sheets, check packages, scheduled and unscheduled task cards, etc.) which have been completed by Pilots and ACA Holders for completeness and accuracy.
- Control the MRO/AMO heavy maintenance records are compliant with industry technical records standards. Maintain separation of third-party filings while ensuring records within our care & custody are managed with equal rigor and attention to detail. Capture and trend Technical Records errors encountered as you maintain this control.
- Verify the accuracy of aircraft Journey Logs and ensure they are complete prior to aircraft departure. Educate the Maintenance Team as to the proper terminology for Maintenance release.
- Accurate update and entry of Service Bulletin, Airworthiness Directives, and Life-Limited Part technical data into maintenance tracking software. As required, build and maintain a sub-system for capturing data not currently supported by the tracking software. Prepare Aircraft Delivery Folders for the transition to the A/C Operator.
- Ensure that the planning for Target Delivery Dates includes the processing & verification of Technical Records for completeness. Coordinate activities to support on-time Aircraft delivery. Escalate records-related delays to mitigate their impact on accurate delivery.
- Monitor industry standards for technical record keeping and management. Ensure the MRO/AMO remains compliant and that, upon turning care & custody of technical records back to the A/C Owner, they receive them in conditions meeting their specification.
- Personally drive continual improvement into the capture and management of technical records.
- Additional indirect accountabilities include informing and providing service to Flight & Maintenance Operations and Asset Management teams.

Experience and/or Educational Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to new priorities throughout the day
- Computer proficiency required, particularly with MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience auditing technical records to determine airworthiness compliance in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations.
- Working knowledge of TCCA regulations and industry standards.
- Working knowledge of technical manuals including MPM
- Proven track record of being a self-starter
- ERP experience will be considered an asset
- Experience with Visual considered an asset
- Experience in an Aviation, Aerospace or Manufacturing environment considered an asset
