Your New Role

As a Project Architect, you will play a key role in shaping impactful projects from concept through completion. You'll lead the resolution of complex technical challenges, mentor team members, and contribute to the creation of high-quality, culturally resonant designs. There is also the opportunity to take on project management responsibilities if desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical reviews of architectural and consultant drawings, providing detailed mark-ups and feedback.
  • Lead the resolution of technical challenges through collaboration, code research, and application of architectural experience.
  • Produce high-quality architectural designs, including drawings, details, and specifications.
  • Participate in design meetings with clients and consultants.
  • Mentor and support team members, including project managers and architectural designers.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Perform architectural calculations and design analysis as needed.
  • (Optional) Manage projects and teams, overseeing budgets, schedules, and deliverables.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Minimum 10 years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Registered with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently resolve technical issues.
  • Proficient in interpreting and applying building codes and bylaws.
  • Skilled in producing accurate and detailed construction drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in wood design and construction is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Rhino, Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 (Compensation based on experience, skillset, and qualifications)
