About Delphic Research
We're on a mission to elevate government affairs through knowledge. As the business of policy and advocacy becomes more challenging and complex, those who work in policy, regulatory affairs, advocacy, public relations, and strategic communications are struggling to keep up with the information they need. Whether that information comes from news media, stakeholder or regulator communications, or a line in a speech, Delphic Research extracts the information that matters specifically to our clients - and delivers it on a daily basis.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a curious, systems-minded co-op student to help us automate and scale key elements of our business and platform operations. This role sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, and knowledge design with a focus on reducing manual work and building repeatable systems that grow with us.
You'll work directly with various team members and business units to identify friction points and build streamlined workflows that touch everything from regulatory monitoring to internal operations (e.g. finance, marketing support). You'll also help us experiment with ways to convert tacit knowledge into explicit frameworks, as well as the integration of human source intelligence, helping encode expert insight into scalable systems.

- Help document and refine systems to be reusable and scalable
- Collaborate with team members across product, operations, and research
- Work with structured and semi-structured data from regulatory and government sources
- Help shape and query internal databases that power our intelligence platform
- Explore how to convert tacit human insight into explicit, machine-usable knowledge
- Build repeatable processes for gathering, organizing, and applying intelligence
- Support ongoing experimentation with tools at the intersection of AI, data science, and public affairs
You Are
- A systems thinker - someone who naturally looks for patterns and elegant solutions, as well as being comfortable applying iterative approaches to problem-solving in a real-world environment
- Curious about the intersection of AI, politics, data science and knowledge management
- Independent, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
- Comfortable working withdatabases, data pipelines, and APIs
- Curious about howdata and intelligence can reshape complex systemslike government
- Interested inautomating real-world workflows, not just running models
- Experience with Python, SQL, web scraping, and/or automation tools (e.g. Zapier, n8n) etc.
- If you have completed a personal or academic project related to automation, webscraping, databases, APIs, etc. tell us about that in your application!
What You'll Gain
- First-hand exposure to the strategic and technical foundations of a policy/regulatory intelligence company
- Mentorship and collaboration with senior executives and advisors
- The chance to build tools and systems that actually get used - and make a difference
- The ability to help shape the infrastructure behind a company reimagining how public affairs operates in the 21st century
- Hybrid flexibility, and a downtown office stocked with decent coffee
- A glowing reference letter that speaks not only to your abilities but to the tangible value you delivered
- Competitive co-op salary, with a completion bonus of $2500 based on performance against a series of objectives and key results to be developed at the start of the co-op placement
