This Sales & Account Manager position is a critical role in the organization and
offers considerable opportunity for professional growth. Our products are sold
nationally at Tier 1 retailers and independent specialty stores. This energetic multi-
tasker will support existing sales and drive for new growth in a collaborative
environment within this small team.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Produce sales plan/ strategy for business and revenue growth; actively
broaden customer base
Develop a thorough understanding of key clients' needs and requirements
and preparing customized solutions
Research and tailor customer presentations of new products according to
timelines and their business plans/ goals
Determine product pricing and product development strategy with manager
Handle customer escalations and close loop on outstanding issues to
customers satisfaction
Make periodic visits to retail outlets to ensure product is inline and displayed
appropriately for the consumer
Be well informed about relevant product categories (competitive products
and their pricing, new innovations, challenges for the industry, etc.)
Negotiate contracts with key clients and meet established deadlines for the
fulfillment of each client's long-term goals
Assist with forecasting and manage sell thru process
Provide regular sales reporting to manager and larger executive team
Perform research through consumer feedback, customer views and
opinions, and analysis of sales data to help develop overall marketing plan
Arrange participation in and attend trade shows
Research competitor products, pricing, marketing content, and strategies
Provide valuable feedback to product manufactures for product
improvement as required
Plan launch events for new products
Analyze e-commerce sales data and provide feedback to external marketing
for support
Actively update required product information on channel partner portals for
existing and new items
Monitor and manage market on-line pricing/availability and adjust as
necessary
What would help you be successful in this role:
2-5 years' experience in a sales role for consumer goods (diploma/ degree in
sales/marketing/business preferred)
Experience B2B sales at Tier1 level with a passion to understand customer
problems and devise solutions to solve them
Highly goal-oriented and proven success of achieving sales targets
Deep understanding of sales methods and channels through which the
products are marketed and ability to successfully analyze data to develop
plans for growth and success
Possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills with the
demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and
effectively at all levels of the organization.
Clear understanding of business basics - product life cycle, revenue
projections, business metrics, and financial planning, etc.
Must have own vehicle for occasional travel to customer locations or trade
events
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Photoshop
Experience in the sporting goods industry is a strong asset
Experience in a Senior Retail with HQ interface role may be beneficial
