New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Digital Product Owner to join our team. This role supports the delivery of high-impact healthcare-related products by translating strategic direction into actionable outcomes. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing backlogs, facilitating discovery, and ensuring successful delivery within Agile frameworks. You'll collaborate with stakeholders, product leadership, UX/CX teams, and DevOps to define and drive meaningful user experiences and business value.

This contract position follows a hybrid model and requires onsite presence in Richmond, BC a minimum of three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and strategy activities to inform product vision and direction.
• Conduct user research, analyze needs, and define business problems.
• Collaborate with UX/CX teams to translate research into actionable requirements.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
• Prioritize and groom product backlogs based on business value and feasibility.
• Write clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Work with Scrum teams on sprint planning, delivery, and retrospectives.
• Ensure design fidelity and accessibility across deliverables.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Deliver validated features that meet user and business expectations.
• Support continuous improvement in delivery processes and collaboration.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner, including 2+ years in Agile environments.
• Experience with backlog management, writing user stories, and sprint planning.
• Ability to conduct and apply user research to guide product decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Experience collaborating across business, design, and development teams.
• Familiarity with DevOps team dynamics and product delivery processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline (advanced degree preferred).
• Product Owner certification preferred (e.g., CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PMPO, ACP).
