Position Title: General Production Technician

Location: 37 McCarville Street,Charlottetown, PE, C1E 2A7, Canada

12 hours shift ( 8 to 8 pm)

This Technician position is within the Production Department at our Animal Health facility in Charlottetown P.E.I. The Charlottetown facility manufactures vaccines and biologics used within aquaculture farming.

The position requires someone who can demonstrate a good attention to detail and achieve a consistent error-free execution of daily job responsibilities, be able to complete documentation using Good Documentation Practices and be able to identify opportunities for process improvement and employ basic problem-solving skills.

Education Minimum Requirement:

• High School diploma or equivalent/ Bachelors./Smart /Driven individual needed

Required Experience and Skills:

• Able to follow/comply with Manufacturing Directions, Standard Operating Procedures, Company/Corporate/Regulatory Policies.
• Ability to demonstrates basic skills in effective time management to meet given deadlines.
• Able to work effectively with team members and show initiative to support others on the team when needed.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel.

Other Requirements and Information:

• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts (12-hour daytime shifts, 3-4 days/week including some weekends) and overtime as required.
• Week 1 - work Monday and Tuesday and then Friday , Saturday and Sunday
• Week 2- Wednesday and Thursday only
• This will rotate
• Workday is 12 hours
• 84 hours biweekly
• Must be able to wear clean room garments and remain in clean room area for up to 3 hours at a time.
• Required to assist in disinfection procedures involving hazardous chemicals requiring the use of a respirator.
• Must be able to lift, move and maneuver small-medium sized equipment - up to 25lbs.
• Requires ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Requires frequent ladder or stair climbing.
