We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shoring Site Supervisor to lead and manage shoring projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating with crews and clients, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Job Duties:
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Plan and organize jobsite logistics and workflow.
- Order and manage materials and equipment.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Supervise, motivate, and support on-site crews.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure clear communication of tasks and expectations.
- Promote a strong safety culture on site.
- Conduct hazard assessments and enforce proper PPE usage.
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
- Lead near-miss reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the primary on-site representative of GIP.
- Maintain professional and effective communication with clients and subcontractors.
- Address and resolve site issues promptly and diplomatically.
Position Requirements :
- Engineering degree or satisfactory combination of training and experience;
- Proven experience in shoring or heavy civil construction supervision.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
