We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vertical Sales Business Development Manager to join our growing team. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies tailored to the unique needs and challenges of a particular vertical (K-12 plus Municipalities), building relationships with key decision-makers, and achieving sales targets within the designated industry.

Location: On-site 88 Fulton Way, Richmond Hill, ON

Type: Full-Time Salary + Benefits + Paid Time Off

Reports to: VP Sales, B2B

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or sales
  • 5+ years sales experience or in a related field, demonstrating practical skills in sales and customer interaction
  • Certifications in sales or marketing are an asset
  • Strong leadership and management abilities
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and other sales tools
  • Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
  • Ability to address challenges and find solutions to improve sales performance
  • Ability to building relationships with team members and clients
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
  • A strong understanding of business principles, including marketing, finance, and operations
  • Ability to negotiate deals and close sales
  • Eligibility to work in Canada

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement sales strategies that are tailored to the specific needs and preferences of the chosen vertical
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers within the target vertical, including end-users and channel partners
  • Identify and qualify leads within the vertical market, and manage them through the sales pipeline
  • Achieve sales targets and quotas within the designated vertical market by closing deals and expanding existing business
  • Work with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and support
  • Track and analyze sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and adjust the sales strategy as needed
  • Occasional provincial/interprovincial travel will be required
